Located in the famous Rajbaug farms, spread over 125 acres on the banks of the Mula-Mutha river in Pune, MIT-Institute of Design is set up under the Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research (MAEER). It is headed by Prof. Kumar Vyas, the founder director of NID. Launched in 2005, it has already acquired the reputation as a design Institute with a very high standard of education.
